Standard naphthenic mineral oils are non-polar and do not mix with these refrigerants, which can lead to oil accumulating in the evaporator, reducing heat transfer, and causing compressor oil starvation.
2. How does moisture contamination affect POE and PAG synthetic refrigeration oils?
POE and PAG oils are highly hygroscopic, meaning they readily absorb water from the surrounding air.
