Spanning over 131 acres with a state-of-the-art production base, we operate at a vast annual capacity of 200,000 tons of premium lubricants. Over the past 15 years, we have solidified our role as an authoritative manufacturer and worldwide exporter, specializing in formulating industrial and automotive lubrication systems designed to perform under extreme operational conditions.
Our proprietary brands include the nationally recognized "Century Longhai" alongside our strategic international cooperation line, the British "A Ba" series. Underwritten by PICC (China People's Insurance Company) for quality guarantee, our portfolios are deeply integrated into major international industrial pipelines, spanning across 139 cities, 29 provinces domestically, and key global trade routes.
The shift towards high efficiency, micro-pitting resistance, and extended maintenance cycles.
Industrial gearboxes are shrinking while torque outputs are rising. Formulations are shifting from Group I/II mineral bases to advanced Polyalphaolefin (PAO) and synthetic ester base stocks. These structures lower fluid traction coefficients, resulting in minimized friction, diminished thermal accumulation, and up to 2-4% energy savings under continuous load cycles.
Modern high-load gearing, especially in wind turbines and heavy-duty steel rolling mills, experiences cyclical shear stress leading to surface fatigue (micro-pitting). Modern gear oils rely on specialized sulfur-phosphorus chemistries that build sacrificial protective boundary films on meshing gear teeth without causing chemical corrosion.
Environmental regulations in offshore drilling, forestry, and water purification are driving the demand for biodegradable lubricants (HEES/HEPG type). Synthetic esters derived from renewable sources ensure high thermal stability, meeting both environmental and extreme pressure (EP) performance goals.
Understanding key critical test parameters to guarantee component longevity and prevent operational downtime.
Procuring industrial gear oils requires strict evaluation of viscosity indices, load-carrying abilities, and shear stability. Industrial standard classifications dictate formulations, with the primary standardizations being DIN 51517 Part 3 (CLP), ISO 12925-1 CKD, and ANSI/AGMA 9005-E02. Below is a comparative index of operational indicators mapped to industrial requirements:
| Performance Parameter | Standard Test Reference | Minimum Industry Threshold | Longhai Performance Range |
|---|---|---|---|
| FZG Scuffing Load Stage | ASTM D5182 / DIN 51354 | Stage 12 | Stage 14+ (Excellent protection) |
| Viscosity Index (VI) | ASTM D2270 | > 95 (Mineral), > 140 (PAO) | 100 - 180 (Custom formulation dependent) |
| Copper Strip Corrosion (3h at 100°C) | ASTM D130 | Max 1b rating | 1a (Non-corrosive to yellow metals) |
| Water Separability (Demulsibility) | ASTM D1401 | < 30 minutes to separation | 10 - 20 minutes (Superior phase separation) |
| Four-Ball EP Weld Load | ASTM D2783 | Min 250 kgf | 315 kgf to 400+ kgf (Heavy-load gear) |

Field-tested lubricants designed to minimize wear, optimize power transfer, and extend oil drain intervals.
Mining operations require lubricants that can withstand high dust contamination, moisture, and massive shock loads. Our L-CKD Heavy Duty Industrial Gear Oil uses premium sulfur-phosphorus extreme pressure additives that cushion meshing gear teeth under sudden load spikes. This prevents micro-fracturing and extends component life in heavy-duty machinery like conveyor drives, ball mills, and draglines.
Wind turbine gearboxes operate in hard-to-reach areas under fluctuating wind speeds and extreme temperature ranges. This makes oil change logistics costly. Our synthetic gear oils feature excellent foam control, thermal oxidation resistance, and superior demulsibility, ensuring water contaminants settle quickly to protect bearings from hydrogen embrittlement and corrosion.
Quality begins with precision batching. Shandong Longhai features fully automated production lines designed to minimize contamination risks and ensure batch consistency. We use high-precision mass flow meters to control raw material dosing, maintaining filling tolerances within 1‰ to 2‰.
Every production batch undergoes a battery of tests in our laboratory. We check viscosity at 40°C and 100°C, flash point, pour point, water content, and ICP additive distribution. We run performance tests to verify water separation, foam characteristics, and wear scar diameters before the product is released for shipping.
Our strategic investment pipeline focuses on developing the next generation of industrial lubricants.
Our structured service workflow ensures consistent quality, from initial inquiry to global delivery.
We assess your equipment's operating conditions, target load cycles, temperature ranges, and OEM specifications to identify or formulate the right lubricant.
Our engineers adjust base oils and additive packages to meet your targets. We provide samples for laboratory validation and field trials.
Once approved, the batch is processed through our automated blending and filling line, monitored by real-time quality control checks.
Every batch undergoes strict testing to confirm it meets DIN, ISO, and ASTM requirements before receiving its quality certification.
We handle hazardous material packaging, export customs clearance, and global ocean freight to ensure safe, on-time delivery.
We provide ongoing technical support, including oil analysis diagnostics, filter maintenance advice, and system flushing guidelines.
Our production site operates under international quality, environmental, and occupational safety systems.
Answers to common technical and logistical questions about gear oil procurement.
L-CKC Medium-Duty and L-CKD Heavy-Duty gear oils are designed for different load and pressure environments:
• L-CKC: Formulated for medium-duty spur, helical, and bevel gearboxes operating under contact stress below 500 MPa. Perfect for general conveyor belts, light-duty mills, and reducers.
• L-CKD: Designed for heavy-duty industrial gearboxes operating under contact stress above 500 MPa. It contains higher levels of extreme pressure (EP) additives to prevent pitting under shock loads. It also offers better thermal oxidation stability, foam control, and demulsibility than L-CKC, making it ideal for severe, high-temperature operations.
Many industrial gearboxes use bronze or brass components (like worm gears, bush bearings, and thrust washers). Extreme pressure (EP) additives typically rely on active sulfur-phosphorus compounds to protect steel surfaces. However, these active compounds can corrode yellow metals, causing early component wear.
Shandong Longhai tests compatibility using the ASTM D130 Copper Strip Corrosion Test. Our formulations include advanced corrosion inhibitors that shield yellow metals, achieving a top 1a rating (very minimal tarnishing) to keep multi-metal components protected.
We recommend upgrading to synthetic PAO (Polyalphaolefin) gear oils under three main conditions:
1. Wide Temperature Variations: PAO base oils have a high viscosity index (>150), meaning they flow well at sub-zero temperatures and maintain film strength at high operating temperatures.
2. Long Drain Intervals: PAO synthetics resist thermal breakdown and oxidation, allowing them to last 3 to 5 times longer than typical mineral oils. This reduces oil changes and overall maintenance costs.
3. Heavy Loads & Friction Reduction: PAO’s low molecular traction coefficient reduces sliding friction, lowering oil temperatures and increasing energy efficiency in high-torque gearboxes.
Water contamination causes oil film breakdown, accelerates rust, and triggers oil foaming. In heavy-duty systems, water also leads to hydrogen embrittlement, which causes micro-cracking and bearing failure.
Our gear oils contain advanced demulsifier additives. Following the ASTM D1401 test standard, our lubricants quickly separate water from oil, allowing water to settle at the bottom of the sump for easy draining, keeping your systems dry and running smoothly.
We work with international logistics providers to manage all customs clearance and shipping documents. Our containers are packed using reinforced steel drums and IBC tanks to prevent leaks during transit. Every shipment is accompanied by a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis (COA) matching our lab data, ensuring the product arrives in perfect condition.
