L-CKC Medium-Duty and L-CKD Heavy-Duty gear oils are designed for different load and pressure environments:
L-CKC: Formulated for medium-duty spur, helical, and bevel gearboxes operating under contact stress below 500 MPa. Perfect for general conveyor belts, light-duty mills, and reducers.
L-CKD: Designed for heavy-duty industrial gearboxes operating under contact stress above 500 MPa. It contains higher levels of extreme pressure (EP) additives to prevent pitting under shock loads. It also offers better thermal oxidation stability, foam control, and demulsibility than L-CKC, making it ideal for severe, high-temperature operations.

Many industrial gearboxes use bronze or brass components (like worm gears, bush bearings, and thrust washers). Extreme pressure (EP) additives typically rely on active sulfur-phosphorus compounds to protect steel surfaces. However, these active compounds can corrode yellow metals, causing early component wear.

Shandong Longhai tests compatibility using the ASTM D130 Copper Strip Corrosion Test. Our formulations include advanced corrosion inhibitors that shield yellow metals, achieving a top 1a rating (very minimal tarnishing) to keep multi-metal components protected.

We recommend upgrading to synthetic PAO (Polyalphaolefin) gear oils under three main conditions:
1. Wide Temperature Variations: PAO base oils have a high viscosity index (>150), meaning they flow well at sub-zero temperatures and maintain film strength at high operating temperatures.
2. Long Drain Intervals: PAO synthetics resist thermal breakdown and oxidation, allowing them to last 3 to 5 times longer than typical mineral oils. This reduces oil changes and overall maintenance costs.
3. Heavy Loads & Friction Reduction: PAO’s low molecular traction coefficient reduces sliding friction, lowering oil temperatures and increasing energy efficiency in high-torque gearboxes.

Water contamination causes oil film breakdown, accelerates rust, and triggers oil foaming. In heavy-duty systems, water also leads to hydrogen embrittlement, which causes micro-cracking and bearing failure.

Our gear oils contain advanced demulsifier additives. Following the ASTM D1401 test standard, our lubricants quickly separate water from oil, allowing water to settle at the bottom of the sump for easy draining, keeping your systems dry and running smoothly.

Our containers are packed using reinforced steel drums and IBC tanks to prevent leaks during transit.
